I get that the restaurant selections may be subjective… but you can’t just go adding states to a well established region and expect to not completely erode your credibility. Maryland? Texas?

I can understand your pain, since neither Maryland nor Texas (nor Kentucky) fall into the core South. However, these border states all have cultural aspects that are indeed Southern. Having lived in TX, GA, FL, NC, VA, and MD, I appreciate the inclusive list!

Max’s Harvest in Delray!?! Really??? What is your criteria? Max’s is good, but no where near the best. I can’t believe you put it in the same category with City Grocery, August and The Inn in Little Washington. It simply does not compute!

All 3 of the Mississippi restaurants are really great but you really missed some good ones in the Jackson area – Walkers, Parlor Market, Caet, and many, many more – as well as many others around the state. Also McComb doesn’t have an ‘s’ on the end. Great info on all the states though!
